ARGENTINE TANGO

At the Academy we promote the study of Tango while simultaneously respecting tradition and taking into account the technical and aesthetic that has developed in recent years.
The goal is to ensure that all those who approach this dance look at the interactivity in play with the motion. We aim to transmit all necessary elements for pupils to be masters of their body and at the same time develop their own Tango.

A LITTLE HISTORY...

The Argentine Tango, in the style in which it’s known today, was born in the early twentieth century in the Rioplatense region of Argentina, and quickly established itself as a popular music style. The Tango is the meeting between the musical cultures of European immigrants, especially Italians (the most representative instrument - the bandoneon - arrived on the banks of the Rio de la Plata from Germany). No one knows who named this dance the Tango. In Latin, tango is the first person of the present indicative of the verb tangere, meaning "to touch."

THE ESSENCE OF TANGO...

The essence of Tango can be seen in the embrace, which unites man and woman for the three minutes of the song and at the same time in the rigid framework of rules governing the dance, on the fundamental basis of mutual respect that is imposed between man and woman

And it is the magic of the relationship between the dancers that ideally combines the dance as it was known at the beginning of 1900s, and as it is understood today.
